OK, so at the moment it's free leaflet. In the singular. Others will follow as time permits, and there is plenty of information listed on the style guides and the 'We Don't Sell That, But' page. The links below will take you to .jpg format scans of the leaflet. They are A4 size. Print one on each side of a sheet and fold to get your tri-fold leaflet. Consult your software to ensure they print at full-size. When you have printed each page, use you browser's 'Back' button to return here. If you have trouble printing, send an SAE to Dead Chicken Hat and I'll pop one in the post. Please state the leaflet reference you want and whether you want a folded leaflet or a pair of photocopy masters. Important! Please note that these leaflets are copyrighted. You are free to print, copy and distribute any for your own or educational purposes in its entirety. You may not sell it. You may not pass it off as your own work. You may not add the line drawings or text to your own site without permission. If you ask I'll probably say yes.

LT03: How to Dress like a ... Victorian Child
Click here to go to leaflets in the shop. This leaflet will help you to create the proper Victorian look. It has specially-created line drawings of actual costumes from early and late Victorian era. The boys' section tells you how to create an Eton suit and a sailor suit. The girls' page contains simple instructions for two pinafores that will give the right shapes and tells you how to avoid The Dread Mobcap. Just in case you didn't know, mobcaps were named after the mobs around the guillotine during the French Revolution. They're a Georgian fashion, not Victorian. Little girls who worked 12-hour days down t'mill probably wore mobcaps to keep their hair out of the machinery, but a mobcap with a pretty dress back then would be as incongruous as rubber gloves with a school uniform now. So, I know it's probably what your school told you to wear but, unless you're very poor and grubby, please don't wear a mobcap. |
