SHIPPING COSTS Dead Chicken Hat does not seek to make a profit from shipping charges. Our rates are based on the Royal Mail charges for First Class (under 1Kg) or Parcel Post (over 1Kg) for the appropriate weight of signed-for package, plus the cost of packaging materials. If, by mistake, we over-charge you, we will immediately refund the difference.

RETURNS AND COOLING OFF Please review the About Dead Chicken Hat Costumes section on the main page if you feel the need to retun a garment purchased from us.
Internet customers in the European Union are entitled to a statutory cooling-off period. As Dead Chicken Hat provies a service which usually commences within the stautory cooling-off period this period will cease the end of the seventh working day after the order was placed or upon commencement of the service, whichever is the sooner.
Postage of items, collecting or delivery by hand or purchase of materials for custom orders will constitute commencement of the service.
If you purchase or hire garments after having chance to examine them you have no statutory cooling-off period.
If you wish to cancel or alter an order within the cooling-off period you must ensure that your instructions reach us in time. Instructions given by email or in a telephone answering machine message will not be deemed to have been given until the message is received by Dead Chicken Hat.
REFUNDS If the item sent is not the item ordered, or if a product can be shown to be faulty at the time of sale (see the About Dead Chicken Hat Costumes section) then this must be notified within 48 hours of receipt and a refund will be given in the form of store credit equal to the purchase or hire price of the garment plus return postage costs upon return of the garment unworn.
Returns will not be accepted for any reason other than wrong or faulty item.
